There are some musicals where you know virtually every song before the curtain goes up. Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is one of them. I’ve seen the show twice before at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine, so I knew the story, knew the music and had a pretty good idea of what to expect when I arrived at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster. What I didn’t know was how this cast would make the familiar story their own.
