Dean Sobon (Director) this is Dean’s first time directing a main stage production for Prather Entertainment Group, but he is certainly no stranger to our stage. He has worked with the company for more than twelve years. Some of his directing credits include Fishing Buds, Bookends, Noah, The Curious Savage, Honk!, Bye Bye Birdie and many others, most of which he directed with his lovely wife, Lauren. Dean is also an accomplished writer, actor, choreographer, acting teacher and coach and a storyteller. But his favorite job is father to his amazing little girl, Piper.
Amy McCleary (Choreographer) is thrilled to be working on Guys and Dolls with this talented cast and crew. Amy has been choreographing professionally since the age of thirteen when she staged The Wizard of Oz for a local elementary school. Projects since then include Peter Pan, Annie and Cabaret here at the Dutch Apple and most recently Holly Jolly Christmas at the Broadway Palm Florida. Amy received her BFA in Theatre Arts from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and now resides in Fort Myers with her favorite "guy", husband Chris. When into working behind the scenes, Amy is onstage with credits ranging from Lola in Damn Yankees to June in Smoke on the Mountain.
JR McAlexander (Musical Direction/Orchestrations) is thrilled to be working with his dear friend, Marc Robin, again. JR has music directed over 350 productions nationwide, including international tours of Sunday In The Park With George and Anything Goes, and the world premiere of Monky Business at such prestigious companies as Guthrie, Theatre Under the Stars, Little Theatre on the Square and Galveston Island Musicals. He has worked with Donald O’Connor, Gloria Loring, Van Johnson, Gloria DeHaven and Ken Page, to name a few. Mr. McAlexander feels privileged to have music directed over 100 shows for Prather Entertainment Group in the past 14 years.
Kristian Perry (Set Design) is the Charge Scenic Artist for Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University. He paints and supervises a crew of student artists to paint the sets in three different theatre spaces, teaches painting classes and may design at the Playhouse in the future. He has designed many shows for the Prathers over the past five years. He has designed for Mac-Haydn Theatre in upstate New York, as well as five years with the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. Kristian has B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and an M.F.A. in Scene Design from North Carolina School of the Arts. Kristian lives in Pittsburgh with wife, Cathleen and newborn son, Connor.
Russell A. Thompson (Lighting Design) recently designed the lights for the national tour of Beehive, The 60’s Musical. He previously lived in New York City where his credits ranged from Club MTV and The Geraldo Show to Manhattan School of Music’s The English Cat. Russell has toured with Tango X2, Moysiev and The Don Cossacks. His designs include Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph ... Dreamcoat, Jekyll & Hyde, Ragtime, Smokey Joe’s Café, Cats and the PEG regional premiere of The Civil War. He was also lighting designer for the national premiere of Around The World In 80 Days at the Fulton Opera House. His designs for West Side Story, Aida and Miss Saigon have earned him three AriZoni Awards. Originally from Lucky, Ohio he now resides with his wife, Alecia, in Cape Coral, Florida. Russell hopes you enjoy his work.
John P. White (Costume Design) recently costumed the national tour of Beehive, The 60’s Musical and was hired as the national costume designer for Prather Entertainment Group after designing Aida, Gypsy and 42nd Street. Previously he was the design assistant for the costume shop at the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville and spent eight years as costume designer for the Derby Dinner Playhouse in Clarksville, Indiana. He has also worked with PEG on Grease, Will Rogers Follies, Jesus Christ Superstar and Miss Saigon.
